New Zealand group return

We are all now safely back after splitting into three groups to be able to fly home. The first group left NZ on Thursday with Mr Schuring and Ms Coffin; the second group left on Friday with Ms Hurst- Levy and the last group came home with me and my wife on Saturday. We were all met by the parents of the students and driven home. It was a huge relief to know that everyone was home safe and well after the volcano with the unpronounceable name caused so much havoc across Europe. As has already been said, the students were nothing other than tremendous throughout and despite the uncertainty when European airspace was closed; they remained as positive and delightful as ever.

I'd like to say a special thank you to the staff team who accompanied the students throughout the visit and these were the visit leader Ms Hurst-Levy, together with Ms Coffin and Mr Schuring. Our hosts were tremendous and I'd like to say a special thank you to Morrie, the member of staff at Linwood, Christchurch NZ who organised everything for us in New Zealand and to Ms Askew who came with us on the South Tour.

All in all a fantastic trip for all concerned and more information and detail will be found in the next school newsletter.
